We are deeply grateful to have recently been featured in the Valley Business FRONT — a publication that reaches the business community within the Roanoke and New River Valleys. This feature was an opportunity that allowed us to reflect on who we are, where we’ve been, and what continues to guide us forward.
At Northpoint Insurance Advisors, we often say that insurance is a relationship business. But being able to tell our story publicly reminded us that relationships aren’t just something we talk about — they are something we live every single day.
The article highlighted something that is incredibly special to us: two parent-child teams working side by side within our agency. Scottie and Billie Wyatt alongside their son Eli. Tullio O’Reilly alongside his daughter Ann Marie. These are not symbolic roles or ceremonial titles. They are daily collaborations — built on trust, mentorship, shared responsibility, and a deep love for this region we call home.

For more than 45 years, Northpoint has been rooted in Southwest Virginia. When Scottie purchased the agency from founder Dan Carper, he embraced not just a business, but a philosophy — that serving families and businesses well means knowing them, walking with them, and being present when it matters most. Today, seeing the next generation step into that same calling is both humbling and inspiring.
We are especially thankful for the opportunity to share how family shapes the way we operate. Family influences how we treat our clients — with patience, honesty, and long-term commitment. It shapes how we lead our team — investing in growth, mentorship, and shared purpose. And it defines how we show up in our community — not as a distant corporation, but as neighbors who care deeply about the well-being of the New River and Roanoke Valleys.
We are thankful to our clients who have trusted us across generations. We are grateful for our team members who bring heart and integrity to their work. And we appreciate the opportunity to tell a story that reflects what is most central to us — not policies or premiums, but people.
As we look ahead, our commitment remains the same. We will continue building on legacy, strengthening relationships, and serving this community with purpose.
Thank you for being part of our story.
